A construction pan, commonly known as a Tasla or Dhamela in South Asia, is a shallow, wide-rimmed container widely used on construction sites for mixing, carrying, and lifting various materials. It is commonly used for transporting sand, cement, bricks, gravel, mortar, and other construction materials, as well as for manually mixing small batches of concrete or mortar and clearing debris from work areas. Construction pans are available in different materials, including heavy-duty iron or steel models that provide excellent durability and resistance against sharp materials, making them suitable for rugged construction environments, and plastic or HDPE models that are lightweight, flexible, crack-resistant, and easy to handle due to their non-stick surface properties. Plastic construction pans are ideal for lifting materials to higher levels, while steel pans are preferred for heavy-duty applications involving stones, rubble, and demanding masonry work.
