Berger Paint Apexior No.3

Apexior No. 3 is a high-quality anti-corrosive coating specially designed for the protection of external surfaces of boilers, condensers, chimneys, and other industrial structures exposed to harsh environmental conditions. It provides excellent resistance against corrosion, moisture, and high-temperature environments, creating a durable protective barrier that extends the service life of metal surfaces. Apexior No. 3 is suitable for use on boiler drums, tubes, water walls, economisers, evaporators, steam accumulators, calorifiers, steam turbine casings, and water softeners exposed to hot water conditions above 93°C (200°F). Before application, surfaces must be properly prepared by removing loose rust, mill scale, oil, grease, and other contaminants to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting performance. Blast cleaning is recommended where possible, while mechanical tools and wire brushing can be used for surface preparation when required. In normal conditions, no separate primer is necessary; however, after blast cleaning, an Epilux 66 Primer holding coat may be applied before finishing. Apply 3 coats of Apexior No. 3 using a brush or roller, allowing approximately 24 hours between coats for proper drying and hardening. The coating dries within 3–4 hours and should be overcoated after 24 hours. After the final coat, allow an additional 24 hours drying time to ensure complete system hardening. Apexior No. 3 provides coverage of approximately 9–12 square meters per litre at 38 microns DFT, depending on surface roughness. It is available in 5 litre packaging, making it an ideal solution for industrial and protective coating applications.
